Because: Unlike baseball and basketball, where you have just six months to start anew, football's offseason lasts 8 LONG months.
Because: There are NO quick fixes for that bad of a record
Because: The people in charge are in NO hurry to speed up the process to get better.
Because: The Draft turns into a Cleveland Super Bowl
Because: Everyone thinks they are draft experts
Because: Draft talk drones on and on and on and on and on with no unique takes after January
Because: The fan base is divided on who should be the quarterback
Because: The fan base is divided on which matters more, the offense or defense
Because: The guy in charge is living off a reputation and has a free pass to do anything ( or nothing )
Because: Other sports are ignored and there aren't any good reasons why
So, our only hope?:
That the Mayans were right.
