After eight seasons in Cleveland, WR/KR Josh Cribbs is likely to sign with either the Cardinals or Patriots, sources said on Tuesday afternoon. The Arizona Cardinals have shown the most interest and the New England Patriots are also pushing hard for Cribbs.
Now that Cleveland has come to terms with free agent Paul Kruger, sources say they plan to submit a final offer for Cribbs. However, their proposal is not expected to approach the offers from Arizona or New England. Cribbs prefers to stay in Cleveland and sources say that he has "fingers crossed" that the Browns extend a competitive proposal.
Cribbs told "The Really Big Show" on February 28th that he would stay in Cleveland for an incentive-laden contract, but that he wanted an opportunity to play offense, in addition to special teams.
